MY THOUGHTS

This Atlético Huila football shirt feels less like a piece of sportswear and more like a full-blown advertising hoarding. It's absolutely covered in sponsors from top to bottom—you can definitely tell we're deep in South American football territory with this one.

Atlético Huila are a Colombian side, and this shirt becomes only my third from that country in my collection. Shirts from Colombia don’t pop up all that often, so when they do, it’s a nice little find.

It’s funny to think that this is exactly the kind of shirt I would have snapped up when I first started collecting back in 2014, when it would have been relatively new. Fast forward to 2025, and somehow it’s already more than a decade old. Time really does fly.

This is also my second shirt made by this particular manufacturer, both of which happen to be Colombian clubs. True to the typical style, all the sponsor logos have been screenprinted directly into the fabric, with only the club crest standing out, embroidered in detail. It gives the shirt a bit more texture and quality where it counts.
And of course, I do love a good yellow shirt—it’s always a bright, cheerful addition to the collection. This one might be busy, but that's part of its charm.
