MY THOUGHTS

This Bibiani Goldstars football shirt is the first Ghanaian club jersey to join my collection—a milestone I’ve been eager to reach. Over the years, I’ve come across a few Ghanaian shirts for sale, but they either lacked a sponsor or didn’t come with tags, making them ineligible for my collection. This one, however, checks all the right boxes.

It’s my third shirt manufactured by Icarus, a brand that continues to follow its signature approach—cost-effective materials paired with meticulous attention to design. The pattern on this shirt caught my eye, though I’m not entirely sure what it represents. At first glance, it resembles a flag, but I couldn’t find any reference confirming this. Regardless, the significance of this piece lies in what it represents for my collection—ticking off another country on my ever-growing list.
