MY THOUGHTS

This shirt replaces one of the oldest in my collection. My first Young Boys shirt was the 2010/2011 home kit, which I picked up back in October 2014 for just £14.99. Now, over a decade later, I’ve added a new Young Boys shirt—this time at almost ten times the price.

In recent seasons, Young Boys have been releasing some truly standout shirts, and this one was the clear favourite for me. The vibrant design immediately caught my eye, and the fact that it came with a presentation box was the final push I needed to make the purchase.

Getting hold of it, however, wasn’t straightforward. The club only accepted Swiss payment methods—something I don’t have access to living in the UK. Fortunately, a friend based in Switzerland kindly stepped in and helped make the purchase possible.

The shirt itself is a burst of colour, beautifully designed and tied to a powerful message promoting diversity and respect within football. It’s more than just a kit—it carries meaning, and that’s something I really value in a shirt.
While it’s a little bittersweet to retire such an early piece in my collection, this new shirt outshines it in almost every way—both in terms of design and the story it tells. A worthy upgrade, and one I’m proud to own.
