MY THOUGHTS

This Cienciano shirt was purchased with the help of a fellow football shirt collector who was visiting their home in Peru. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up, and I ended up with the sponsorless version of the shirt. I’m not entirely sure how that happened, but here we are!

Thankfully, the design itself is smart enough that the lack of a sponsor doesn’t make it feel plain or incomplete. The manufacturer’s logo, which amusingly looks like a New Balance knockoff, adds some charm to the overall aesthetic. That said, if I get the chance to buy a version of this shirt with a sponsor, I’ll probably replace this one.

Despite the hiccup, it’s still a solid addition to my collection, and I appreciate the effort it took to help me secure it.
