MY THOUGHTS

It was purely by chance that I stumbled upon this Edinburgh City football shirt. The design itself isn’t particularly spectacular—it’s essentially standard Puma teamwear. But the black and gold colourway is always a winning combination, giving the shirt a clean, classic look that works well.

What really drew me to this shirt, though, was just how limited it is. It was advertised as a run of only 100 shirts, making it technically the joint-rarest shirt in my collection. While I’m sure the club’s home and away shirts from this season were also produced in relatively small numbers—given the club’s size—it was the fact that Edinburgh City specifically highlighted this third shirt as being ultra-limited that convinced me to make the purchase.

It’s always satisfying to add a piece like this to the collection—not necessarily for its design, but for its rarity and the story it represents.
