MY THOUGHTS

I visited Fort William just before Christmas 2024 and happened to stumble across the stadium for Fort William FC. Unsurprisingly, there wasn’t a match scheduled at that time of year, and there was no club shop open where I could pick up one of their shirts.

It wasn’t until I looked online afterwards that I discovered this remarkable third shirt. As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be added to my collection. I had to purchase it directly from the manufacturer, which meant a bit of a wait—each shirt is made to order, so they only go into production once there’s a bulk order. But for a shirt this beautiful, I was more than happy to be patient.

When it finally arrived and I saw it in person, it was everything I had hoped for. I absolutely love the graphic on the front, which showcases their modest stadium nestled in the foothills of Ben Nevis—surely one of the most picturesque football grounds in the UK. Paired with the Northern Lights-inspired colour scheme and design, this shirt becomes more than just a football kit—it’s a piece of art.

For a club playing so far down the Scottish football pyramid, Fort William FC have really gone the extra mile with this one.
