MY THOUGHTS

This IF Brommapojkarna football shirt currently holds the title of the rarest shirt in my collection, at least in terms of measurable numbers, with only 100 ever released. The shirt was created to celebrate the centenary—not of the club, but of the Allsvenskan league itself. Every team in the league participated in this celebration by wearing special throwback jerseys over a few match days.

The retro design is immediately apparent, with the large initials displayed prominently in the centre of the shirt instead of a sponsor. It’s a nod to football’s earlier days and adds a unique touch to the shirt’s appeal. While researching the club, I discovered that Brommapojkarna is the largest football club in the world in terms of membership, boasting over 3,000 registered players across various ages and genders—a fascinating fact that adds even more depth to owning this shirt.

To top it all off, the presentation box it came in is of exceptional quality, making the entire package feel special. It’s a standout piece in my collection, both for its rarity and the history it represents.
