MY THOUGHTS

I bought this Mohun Bagan football shirt because they’re one half of one of the fiercest rivalries in world football—the legendary clash with East Bengal. Manufactured by Nivia, this is a solid addition to my collection and a great representation of the team from India. The green and maroon colours immediately bring to mind Fluminense’s iconic kits, adding to its appeal.

All of the sponsors—and there are quite a few—are screen-printed onto the shirt. While it’s a nice piece, it lacks any unique identifiers, which is a bit disappointing. However, given how reasonably priced it was, I can’t be too upset about it.

Now the challenge is to find a shirt for East Bengal to complete the set and truly capture the essence of this intense rivalry!
