MY THOUGHTS

When I saw this Tour FC football shirt for sale, it immediately caught my eye. I’m fairly certain it was the first time I’d ever seen one available, so I knew this was a rare opportunity. A quick glance at their Wikipedia page confirmed that the club no longer exists, and that sealed the deal for me—this was a must-buy.

Whenever a club dissolves, the chances of finding one of their shirts later on drop dramatically. So when something like this comes up, it feels like a small window of opportunity you just can’t pass up.

The shirt itself is a smart-looking Kappa design, with clear French and Corsican influences throughout. The prominent use of the fleur-de-lis across the design firmly roots it in France, giving it a strong regional identity. It’s understated but stylish, and knowing the club no longer exists adds a layer of significance to owning it.

I'm really pleased to have picked this one up. In a few years, it’s the kind of shirt that’s bound to spark conversation—especially among collectors who appreciate the stories behind clubs that have come and gone.
