MY THOUGHTS

Thanks to one of my YouTube viewers, I was finally able to add this UD Lanzarote shirt to my collection. He kindly offered to pick it up while he was away in Lanzarote and bring it back to the UK—a gesture that’s always greatly appreciated.

The shirt was purchased directly from the club store, and like all of UD Lanzarote’s kits, it’s manufactured and designed in-house under their long-standing Mercancia branding, which they’ve used for over 20 years. I had previously held off buying one myself due to concerns about whether the shirts would come with tags, but my friend was able to confirm in-store that they did—which sealed the deal.

Interestingly, the shirt is marked as a medium on the tag, but it fits more like a large—quite the opposite of what you usually expect with football shirts, which often run small. The sponsors are screenprinted directly into the fabric, while the club crest is nicely embroidered, adding a bit of texture and quality to the overall finish.

UD Lanzarote typically use their kits for multiple seasons, and this one is no exception. It’s a striking pink design—something I’ve always liked—and I’m really happy to add another pink shirt to the collection, especially one with such a unique story and origin.
